Laptop and Desktop or...?

I am thinking about purchasing AS 11, but I can't seem to find (probably am missing an "obvious" link) anything about whether it's ok to install on a desktop and a laptop as long as you are only using in one place or the other. I split my work up a fair bit, and it would be a pain to const...

FWIW, here's what I've managed to do so far. It isn't animated per se (hence the reason I didn't put this in the Show Your Work thread), but it gives folks an idea of where I hope to go with this.

Mars,
Appreciate the offer, but at this point I don't need the help any longer. I do hope you get help with your problem.

Libraries of 3d compatible ASP models?

Looking for tea cups, tea pots and the like that I could pull into ASP. I gather it supports .obj only? Most of the free libraries I could find (as opposed to sites that claim to have stuff but just have links to other sites - mainly broken) seem to have either max, 3ds, or blend files. If anyone ha...

One of the reasons I have been doing most of my work so far in 3D is the existence of such a tool in the iClone software I use. It lets you take a front view and a side view picture of a head, and then has a tool to map those onto a head by letting you drag the eyes, nose, and mouth to the appropria...

Same with me, no reply since I've sent him a detailed calculation. When I was an independent consultant (programming or writing) that would happen occasionally. Usually meant that either they decided that the cost of losing the contract was less than the cost of completing it - or the boss found ou...

OK, I gather that I "do" want to create both my backgrounds and my characters as Vectors to make them easier to scale, etc. Is that correct, or should I do bitmap backgrounds and just worry about vectoring the characters? I suppose I could bring a char in on an image layer, place a vector ...

Getting AS Pro to recognize Inkscape SVG

Installed a copy of Inkscape with the idea of taking some of my artwork, running it through trace bitmap, and then bringing the vectorized outline into AS to work with there. However, if I go into AS Pro and try to use Import Adobe Illustrator, it doesn't recognize the Inkscape SVG file as being com...

Vern's suggestion of creating an original is a fair observation - you have the talent to draw the boards and put together something, why not develop something original which is yours, which might create something good for both yourself and others. Well, it's funny you would mention that. I've been ...

Some of the comments made about the copyright issues are valid, as is your response to it. To lock the discussion would prevent any further constructive discussion over dojinshi, parody and other quasi-legal forms of fan-art. FWIW, I have now undertaken an effort to see if I can get a quasi-officia...

OK, I can now see why I was hesitant to go down this path in the first place, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask. Silly me :D From a copyright issue - Manga has a long history of dojinshi , and in fact the author of this series is highly suspected of having contributed to a few of the ones about ...

Credit, but no pay - Animator needed for Fan-Created Anime

As some of you may have seen in the General AS topic, I'm working on putting together four OAV episodes based on the Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou manga. These are all chapters that have not been animated before. I have put together the translated scripts, have the storyboards, am reviewing auditions for ...

Well, I got it, but only because I've learned how to be a real nuisance in life... Initial attempts through email got the "they handle it... no they handle it.. no they really handle it" response. So then I went the phone route, which took a couple transfers, and then finally got hold of s...

Well, I don't know what to make of this, and not sure if it's related or not. However, I just went to order AS Pro and added on the "Rose" pack as well for the tutorial features. It took my card info, but now the order shows as "Queued", and I received no DL link or Serial Number...
