I don't know exactly what you want, but I would just output the video and code the rest myself. (.mp4 with no controls, auto start, or started when in view via JavaScript, positioned in a div wherever needed).

I've found the latest versions of both stable. Mac and PC. I can't remember the last crash and I use it a lot daily.
Moho only uses 4 cores max.
I think the amount of RAM makes more of a difference. I'm using 16GB+

For the balloon text problem, in the new text layer settings, change the 'select word balloon type' to none. For some reason, Moho seems to remember your last setting here. To fix, take the angle constraint off the right shoulder.

I thought Gimp was just a raster graphics editor. Maybe this is the problem? You should try inkscape.
But if you could make those lines a little clearer, you should be able to get a good result from the image trace in Moho.
