Re: My future with Moho

I wonder where Myles Strous is? Hello! How nice of you to think of me. Still around, occasionally lurking on the forum. Spent some considerable time working more on hobbies other than animation, but I am slowly getting back into it. Sometimes it is almost like starting from new again with all the g...

I think most of the Cartoon Solutions characters for Anime Studio have mouth sets compatible with Papagayo.

Disclaimer: I haven't actually purchased or used any of these characters, I've only seen the web site.

The initial documentation here should get you started, along with a decent Lua reference and reading through the sample scripts provided. Some further functions are documented in the new release announcements , e.g. see the Scripting section of version 5.3 release notes . I've got an antique modific...

If you prefer an on-screen drop-down menu rather than right-clicking, you can also use the Switch Layer tool in the tools palette. Here's the manual entry: Switch Layer This is a specialized tool for use with Switch layers only. This tool has no effect if you click and drag in the workspace. What it...

Replace all Pithon words below with with the comedy team/snake name that's spelled with a 'y' - there's a default security restriction on this forum (to prevent running malicious scripts) that prevents me from posting if I use the p-y-t-h-o-n word, except in URLs and similarly safe contexts. It appe...

Hi Goei, onion-skin is a Pro-only feature. You can find the full feature difference list at the e-frontier comparison page. Either go to http://www.e-frontier.com/go/products/animestudio and select Feature Comparison from the menu on the left, or go directly to http://www.e-frontier.com/go/products/...

Hi Maven, File > Render was added to the standard version in a recent minor release (and I think the tutorials were reviewed and updated to explicitly mention any Pro/standard differences) - 5.5 was the first split into the Pro and the less expensive standard versions (prior to that there was only o...

In Anime Studio you could do it using "masking". 1. Place the image layer as a child inside a Group layer (if you are using the standard version and not the Pro version, use an empty Bone layer instead). 2. Also add a vector layer as a child of the group (bone) layer, below the image layer...

You might find it useful to do tutorial 1.4 again, which covers just this issue and other basic bone information.

All the level 1, 2, and 3 tutorials are essential to help you get a good grasp of using Anime Studio.

While there is no special input process provided, cut-and-paste from other sources works fine into the Insert Text box for hiragana, katakana, and kanji, and various European accents, in the few tests I've done (it doesn't always look correct in the input box, but it inserts and renders fine). Natur...

Still image Render was originally only provided for the Pro version, but this was accidentally omitted in the manual. There was a fairly recent update that added Render back to the standard version, as well as adding Unicode support, fixing a few bugs, and updating the manual. If you're working in W...

Type the accented text into a word processor that supports entering the accented characters, cut-and-paste into the Insert Text box in Anime Studio. Note that in an English version of Windows, where I tested it, it will only work with fonts that support the appropriate accented character sets (not a...

I think you may be seeing the different between pose-to-pose thinking and non-linear animation software. I suspect you are using the Rotate Bone tool, which adds a keyframe only for that specific bone, instead of the Manipulate Bone tool which adds keyframes for all bones in that IK chain. So, if yo...
