Re: what this lines?
Of course it shouldn't. But lots of stuff happens anyway, in any software, so I've learned the hard way not to waste too much time to make the software behave perfectly (it never does, and it's not my job anyway). Instead I know from experience where problems are likely to occur (especially when mor...

Re: what this lines?
I suggest to not place the separation there, just to avoid this problem.

Re: Scaling Multiple Layers
Ah! Well, use the second method I wrote - this will schange the scaling of each individual layer inside the group. There's some stuff to mind when creating a character/object: while you're building it, it's best to keep all layers at 100% and do the scaling of parts with the point scaling tool. This...

Re: Scaling Multiple Layers
Works here.
Select the group layer, select layer manipulate tool (M) and type in numbers, or just click and drag over the text field.
However, if you're inside the group and select a bunch of layers, only the first one will respond to text field changes. scaling per M tool scales all.

Re: Move audio file in timeline?
Woah, never used that! OK, but this only works forward - I had a scene recently where I had to move lots of layers to different positions to the left of # 0, this would not help. Best really would be a little window in the sequencer view indicating the number of frames something is moved, with the o...

Unfortunately not (AFAIK) - this is one of my ongoing regrets.

Re: A word to all new users
Beginning this year I've started to attend another animator/creator's meeting regularly (it's for all, designers, game developers, sound designers, even some marketing people were spotted). Ai comes up regularly, and I do my very best to talk them out of glorifying it or even believig the hype. Ther...

Re: Bones disappear when selecting specific layers
This is an unusual situation though, because normally, you would add bones after you've drawn the artwork, not the other way around. I did that: when I had animated a walk cycle which I wanted to apply to several differently looking characters. It was easy because it was just cutout animation, just...

Re: Change starting frame number for Image Sequence export
OSX has the ability to simply re-name a bunch of files. Just select the files, right-click, re-name X objects, and choose the right option.

Re: Blending modes
To be clear: the layer which is used as mask can't have a blending mode - its mode is masking.
Any other layer within the group should show the blending modes assigned to it, no matter whether it gets masked or not.

Re: Turning text into liquid shapes
There's lots of ways to achieve that effect. If it's only 1 to 5 letters I'd go with vectors. But if it's a whole sentence or more I'd render the text as bitmap and distort that.

Re: Brush effect on stroke clipped by invisible frame/mask
My guess: it happens because of its proximity to the project boundary.
Could you duplicate the project, double the project size, then reduce the content by half, and test again?

little walk cycle
(This is a test wether posts from Mastodon show a preview here) I made a small animation yesterday, during the wait for election results: https://berlin.social/@slowtiger/114055131435586083 Body, head, and hand are bitmap, legs are vector. I animated the legs in TVPaint first to have a guide. Feet a...

Re: Anime Studio Pro 11 Compatibility Question
No chance. I think the last one you could run it was OS 10.11, which was 10 years ago. It will not start or even install after that.
