Re: Temporarily parent bone then remove parenting

- Put 1 layer into another
- select the layer bind tool
- click on the bone you want to bind the layer to.

Re: Temporarily parent bone then remove parenting

Layer binding, not bone binding.

Re: Temporarily parent bone then remove parenting

Of course you can layer bind a bone layer to a bone of another, higher layer; I do that all the time - when it makes sense.

In general I recommend to keep stuff as simple as possible, especially not try changing things midway in animation.

Re: Temporarily parent bone then remove parenting

For me the easiest and least stressful way is: copy the arrow layer so I have 3 arrows. One is bound to the hand, one is bound to the bow, one is free. Switch visibility where needed.

Re: Info box "File path ... were updated..." when loading moho file.

That statement refers to your file system only. Each time a Moho file changes position in the file system Moho has to update the references, which may work automatically, in case you've moved all referenced file with the Moho file, or it can't find them, then you'll have to search and prompt it to t...

Project presets

It would be nice to be able to store project properties (dimensions and framerate are essential) so I have a list to choose from when I create a new project. I'm switching between jobs and it is a bit error-prone to always have to type in the correct values.

Re: Can't add points to the fill in the action

You can only add (and delete) points in frame 0. (Same goes for complete shapes.)

Usually I create 1 leg complete with the correct fill colour in 1 layer, then duplicate that layer and mirror the artwork inside. Only after that I start with rigging.

I never use PSD import in Moho, only PNG.

Re: Problems with alpha image

That PNG needs its alpha set to "do not pre-multiply", but that setting doesn't exist in PS or Moho. In TVPaint you have that option, I don't know about other programs.

Re: Let's talk about operation delays and lag again

I think I never had any negative keyframes, but in my longer scenes (over 20 sec) I noticed some lag sometimes when there were unintentional keys faaar away from the actual animation. Quite often I have something stay still or invisible for half a minute, then burst into action for some seconds, the...

This sounds like something somebody might already have scripted in Blender?

Re: Crayon texture tips

As a start you should open some of the brush bitmaps and study their properties. For a crayon effect I suggest to create something high-contrast. MAybe you could scan in some real crayons and work from that.

Re: Smear Brush

You could use the FBF feature or just create a single layer for 1 frame with Moho's brushes, but there's no way to automate this task in a reasonable way, it's drawing/painting by hand.

Re: Smear Brush

This basically cries for a hybrid approach: animate the scene in Moho, export the frames around the planned smear, do the smear in TVPaint (or whatever bitmap software you use), and import to Moho again. Just 1 frame.
