Re: Retiming physics - slow motion bone dynamics?

Perhaps making a copy of the file with a higher frame rate (from 24 to 60, i.e.) and then do the rescale frames.

Re: SVG Animation

Even in AE, SMIL only works through Bodymovin.
Having such an option could be handy, but I believe the idea behind the svg export in Moho was mostly meant for frame export rather than sequences or SMIL.

Re: Bigger Icons...

Hope this would still be related to the topic... From what I learned, reshaping/scaling the Tools window to a custom ratio is not an option. However, once you start adding scripts, if the window is undocked, it overlaps the docked ones. Making groups within the Tools window brings some ease but coul...

Re: How to 'go viral'?

Recently I received a few offers to work on animations, in series, for YT channel. All had a common thing... There were a few YT channels presented as examples, to set the style reference but I noticed an odd thing about those channels. Up to 10 videos within a year where the 1st one got 500K views ...

Re: Ease in - Ease out

Hamedss' graphic example made me certain about what keeps me away from using these Eases but hayasidist's remark about smooth keys interfering with the curve made me think it out again. Then I took into account the influence of the keys on frame 0 (or just simply preceding kf's) and wrapped up a bri...

Re: 3D follow path

"...wrapping a string along a stick". If I got it right, perhaps masking the string could do the trick? "Wrap" the string, add effects and whatever you've had planned and then, mask the portions (in form and shape of sections of the stick) where effect is meant to go behind the s...

Re: How to animate a car slowing down before stopping?

Glad to hear you've managed to make it work.
Though, it's exactly the same to what I suggested in the initial reply / apart from plan B for beziers.
Would you be so kind to explain to me, what did I make unclear / for future reference? Thanks in advance.

Re: Motion graph channels

I believe so, especially if you add a wider span of keyframes in SA. This way you'd have more room for fine adjustments.
However, combining available types of kf's (linear, smooth, easing...) would still apply to fill kf's, on the timeline.

Re: Motion graph channels

FAIK, beziers or keys in Motion graph are available only for xy and z. Double click on the icon, on the left, and the keys would appear whether consolidated or separated. Check the settings for Timeline Channels under View/Timeline Channels/ I believe all channels are enabled by default but if you c...

Re: how to get no layer selected in viewport?

You're most welcome guys, glad to hear you find it helpful. I'm pretty sure I discovered it by chance but as time flies by, I started believing that Moho developers are leaving such easter eggs for us to discover, before adding the next package of improvements. As in: The next level shall be availab...

Re: how to get no layer selected in viewport?

The eyedropper tool's shortcut is L and it would provide a "clean view".

Re: How to animate a car slowing down before stopping?

I'd set the keyframes to show the motion I need and then limit the scope of rendered frames.
The scene does not have to start from fr1 since we can set the first and last rendered kf's, on timeline.

p.s.
motion on depicted beziers acts like linear and then slows down to a halt.

Re: How to animate a car slowing down before stopping?

I'm still not sure what kind of stopping you're looking for but there are several ways to do it. One could be the spacing of the keyframes. From linear to smooth and to smooth again. Set the start and end position (linear to smooth). Then you add the kf to set the breaking point (smooth one) on the ...

You must be right, about Referenced Rigs.
I almost forgot about that option and usually deploy references only on layers.

Re: Should I use a reference character when animating scenes?

....yet, when I watch timelines and zoom in on layers for animated projects done in Moho I never see anyone using reference characters? There seems to be some terminology issue — mislabeled things, so to speak. I believe Steve is asking about Reference layer usage. My understanding of Ref. layers e...
