New curve profile feature, does it get SWF exported?
Hi, I'm curious about the new curve profile feature (which applies a user-definable contour/wibble/funk to curves). Specifically, do the affected shapes keep their funky profile when exporting to SWF format? Or is it just the original (unfunked) curve outline that gets exported? I know there's lots ...

In an earlier Debut version, you could work around this limitation by using an existing 1280x720 project as your starting point or default file. Basically Debut prevents you from specifying larger sizes in the project settings, but it would respect any existing project dimensions, and export at thos...

Well, the built-in SWF/Flash export is arguably videogame ready - for Flash games. Your website would suggest that's an ideal format for you, and from the latest Flash tool there's options for converting and publishing to other platforms. If you really want XML you'd be processing the .anme source f...

But a lot of times when I select a point to change the width, the line will get thinner or go to 0. I think that's because when I click, I'm usually moving the mouse to the left. Numerical entry works fine, but it's a bit boring and works absolutely, rather than relative to the existing line width....

Use separate, stacked shapes to add bumps or detail. Much easier to draw, and to animate, and looks more convincing as a cartoon. Use the Hide Edge tool to keep the outlines tidy. For example if you wanted to draw a bumpy moon, don't draw a single shape looking like a squiggly pancake. Instead, do s...

I had this recently: save and it's there, open and it's gone. What's special about reopening the file? It initially shows frame zero. So you need to check the layer visibility keys *on all layers in the hierarchy*. It's probably a parent group/bone layer, that got created when you had a later frame ...

Don't think there's much scripting control over the actual rendering, at least not in earlier versions. It's probably a lot simpler to do it in post, converting cyan to blue/green, etc. Also worth reviewing the plethora of anaglyph software on the web, some of which have a ton of conversion options....

I guess if you have Flash, you could import the SWF into the Flash timeline, and then export it as a MOV. For more flexibility, you could do this selectively, for separate characters, etc., using an alpha'ed codec. Then you can import those MOVs into Anime Studio, and re-composite, adding effects, d...

You can export your AS movie using an AVI codec other than Full Frames (Uncompressed). It'll come out much smaller. Alternatively, open your 4GB AVI in the free VirtualDub ( http://www.virtualdub.org ), then use Video > Compression to set the preferred codec, then choose File > Save as AVI... giving...
