i want to watch it but when I hit play it just blinks and doesnt play anybody know why? Vimeo, the host, is usually a good quality video platform. However, they do experience the occasional growing pain. Try again, and try with a different browser. I really like the functionality and security of Fi...

Actress
Nicely done, very soothing, who's the lovely lady in the film? Paget Kagy is an LA based actress and jazz singer. The project is directed by one Ms. Angela Park. She was my boss on the project. Ps: I still like to use the word 'actress', and I know the arguments. But, to me 'actor' could denote Ern...

Casting Shadows - Independent Film
http://vimeo.com/animatedlane/castingshadows I used Anime Studio Pro a LOT on the characters in this series of shots. I had to have something that would map natural brush strokes onto animal characters. ASP worked fine, though I did do a lot of spline keyframing with the tiger stripes. The open and ...

Waves
That looks excellent. I'd love to know exactly how you went about creating the waves. I tried several different things, including Anime Studio Pro in various ways. In the end (if I remember correctly), I drew the wave as basic line and fill frames on paper and in ToonBoom's Pencil Check Pro. I rend...

Game Animation
I used ASP for the shark (don't blink), and some more props that aren't in this demo reel. There may have been some wave elements built in ASP also. I can't really remember. Once I get going it's all tunnel vision.

Rights
From direct personal experience: if you need rights held by a European concern, you may be able to negotiate this affordably yourself. If you need U.S. rights, no label or publisher will pay any attention to you alone. You will have to hire an attorney. Budget at least $2000 for the attorney if he/s...

Error Message
I actually haven't had time to mess with this, myself. Sorry you didn't get through. Maybe there is some more information at the forum. In any event, we at least know there is activity toward a new version. It may be a very personal taste, but I think Pencil is a terrific tool for animation artists....

Pencil Open Source Software
The volunteer programmers for Pencil have been busy. A new version is gradually coming to the surface. Though there have been stability issues to be aware of (save projects often using incremental file names, please), this is a GREAT program for working out key animation poses. I frequently use it b...

I don't remember exactly where it was, and it's hardly worth relocating. It may have been craigslist Atlanta. It's just that a couple of days later I'm still pondering the gall of some people. How could someone post such and ad as a good faith gesture? They want 3 years of experience for free, indee...

Incredulous Job Board Postings
I saw a posting the other day, I believe in Atlanta, requiring 1 - 3 years of industry experience, on expensive software, for an unpaid internship. I'll venture they also want the intern to provide all hardware and software - delivered to their facility (a growing trend). This stuff won't last forev...

ditto Tonym, offering actual cash at THIS forum should be more welcome. Dryink did say "small studio" after all.

True, SlowTiger, individuals like us can more than manage with a spread sheet or a form document of our own making (if we're neat). My point of view is still attempting to empathize with DM. Suppose, however, we are sub-contracting for a large company. The lead production house might feel better usi...

What about dedicated project tracking software? I think the first time I saw something like this was at a developer conference in LA, in 1994. SGI was the main sponsor (back in the day). I recently saw another such product at the CGSociety site: http://www.southpawtech.com/features.html I don't know...

Missed it?
I guess I either missed it, or maybe my perceptions are skewed (geez, are they talking about me?). But, in any event, I see the inane remarks as litter floating under a bridge. It's ugly and it's bad for the general environment. However, it doesn't impede most people's immediate progress. My percept...

The adjustable onion skinning looks like a very nice feature. I assume this application produces raster art, not vector. However, I did not see this clarified at the site.
