Does anyone know what this means?

I'm having problem because everytime I try to set an animation to one of my backgrounds then try to export it the program shuts off for no particular reason.

Yes I've seen those option but I was not very impressed with the look.
The thing is that my work is closer to the guy on the AS pro 5 startup menu,so you can see my problem.

What I mean is for detailing purposes for example, I want to give my character hues and shades, like I would in photoshop.

Is there a program you can export your AS images to for color editing?
