I like the special handle idea myself.
However if this is not possible there could be start and end frame settings inside the settings box.
Those are my 2 cents.

Thanks for the response Dave! Wow Is there a specific hierarchy that you used to make it work? Or a certain way it was built? Delete bones bug?!?!?
I have noticed that when I'm on the timeline and I have a bone selected and then I want to delete a keyframe and I try to delete it like in v4(by pressing the delete key) it will sometimes delete the entire bone out of the whole timeline. Interpolating bones in switch layers?
I have been trying to create switch layers with bones inside them and then turn on the interpolate sub-layers button in hopes that the bones will interpolate smoothly as well as the points.
