Re: Bus-Tops
Congratulations sbtamu, on getting Stickman's Olympic Balloons programmed. Texas joins Iowa on the cultural landscape of London! I agree with rocky53204 on how cool it is that Bus-Tops makes such a thing possible. I just did an Olympic Rings one myself: http://bus-tops.com/work/4393/ It's supposed t...

Re: Bus-Tops
Thanks! The coded ones were made in Processing. There's a tool and tutorial here: http://www.stevetiffany.com/zips/BlendMorphTutorial.zip Requires Processing, which is free here: http://www.processing.org It's easier to do blend morphs in ASP, but Processing is good if you need real-time blend morph...

Bus-Tops
I've been making some short animation loops for Bus-Tops, a public art project that put red LED screens on the roofs of 30 bus shelters around London: http://bus-tops.com/people/Steve_Tiffany/ Made in ASP: Tattooed Couple, Whee!, Coffee Time, Charm Bracelet Chain Gang, and The Crush. If you submit s...

Re: White Edges around PNG images?
If you create the PNG on a transparent background, as is possible in Photoshop Elements and other programs, the edges will have varying levels of transparency instead of anti-aliasing into a white background. So you'll have neither jaggies nor white edges. EDIT: Never mind. My advice works with text...

I recently made a mouse-controlled 2D virtual hand puppet in Processing: http://www.openprocessing.org/visuals/?visualID=49527 I know there are kinect libraries available, not sure how usable they are: http://www.processing.org/reference/libraries/#computer_vision You could also possibly do hand-pup...

@JaMike - No-o-o-o-oooooooooo! Programming is fun! Okay, ignore the gibberish in my previous post. I've made a tool/tutorial combination that turns Blend Morph programming into a matter of tracing and pasting! Get it here: http://www.stevetiffany.com/zips/BlendMorphTutorial.zip Requires Processing, ...

The tool I used to locate the points is just a step above graph paper. If I can make it easier to use, I will make a tutorial. Meanwhile, the source code is there to learn from. The tricky part is in the map() command within curveVertex(). Each curveVertex() function represents one point on a closed...

Blend Morphs in Processing
I've been fooling around with the programming language Processing, and made a little sketch that borrows the Blend Morph concept from Anime Studio. See it here: http://www.openprocessing.org/visuals/?visualID=49033 EDIT: I made three more: The Orb, Clown Puppet, and Talking Robot: http://www.openpro...

These are very amusing! The multi-layer mouths will be a good addition, so you can anchor those jumpy front teeth to the skull. I've heard that YouTube ads pay practically nothing, and they're annoying. It may be in your long-term best interests to skip the advertising while trying to build a fan ba...
