Re: Making a smart action - everything dissapears.

MAN! This program is frustrating. Too many bugs. With all due respect, the odds of a bug being your problem are extremely remote, virtually beyond contemplation. I used to think the same thing, but over the years I realized that 99.99% of the time I was to blame. I had done something wrong because ...

Re: Using Fonts in Moho 14 (Mac) - SOLVED

Glad you got it working.

Sometimes when we're lost, all that's needed is for someone to point in a general direction and say "go that way, probably" and we figure it out.

Re: Using Fonts in Moho 14

Tried on a different Mac that has Moho 14.0 installed... I'm on a Mac. I installed a Google font, then turned Moho off and on and there it was in the list of fonts (must re-start Moho for Moho to see it). What I did: Downloaded a font to Downloads folder. Opened the ZIP to produce a folder containi...

Version 15 News! Will this be the new logo?

https://i.postimg.cc/BbYWr5vs/Moho-Logo-v15.png Note #1: The above design is based on the old Moho version 5 logo. I only added the "1." It is my carefully considered prediction of the version 15 logo. Note #2: If you had hopes for news about new features or anything like that, please low...

Re: More bugfix releases inbetween Updates

Personally, I welcome updates, no matter how small or remedial, but I want to see some downdates . Yes, I invented downdates (afaik). A downdate is when the newest version only takes away features. I mean, c'mon, some of those characters in the Library need to be retired. Oh, and don't get me starte...

Re: Rotate Layer tool confusion

I don't usually use the z-rotation but I definitely was playing around with it today for a head rotation and gear rotation. But the results weren't that good so maybe it was how I tried to use it. I used it this morning after I imported a PNG with transparency into an environment. The image was a l...

Rotate Layer tool confusion

I was lamenting that that I could rotate a layer or shear a layer, but not tilt a layer -- which I really needed to do. Then I thought. . .what if, in this instance, "rotate" was a mathematical term and not an art term? After all, the tool's icon seems to indicate that the tool accomplishe...

Gradient with extra handles

I often wish that I could bend the gradient to match a curved surface, like when coloring the inside of a dome or the hood of a car.

Could we have more handles with the gradient?

I'd be happy with three handles, or however many it would take to bend the gradient into an S shape.

Thank you.

Re: Shading ovelaying lines

So Im using the shading effect on my character, but the problem is the black outline is also shaded too, is there a way to only shade the fill and not the line area? I think the shadow effect normally does not include the stroke. Make a circle on a layer separate from the character and add the effe...

Re: Little Green Dog Channel

Well done.

Funny, after reading your posts for years, I never realized you were a cartoon. Now it makes sense, why you know so much about animation.

Same.

I appreciate that when new features are added, Moho oftentimes lets its users decide if they want to stick with the way they've been doing things. :D

Re: Show Paths Globally

It displays the motion path of the select item, with knots for the keyframes. To see an example of this option in action, make a box in the center of a layer, enable Show Paths, and then move the layer on a few frames of the timeline to create keyframes. The path should be obvious... Oh, I use that...

Re: Show Paths Globally

I've never used Show Paths, and I'm not sure what it does.

I didn't find any information in the User Manual.

Would you suggest a simple experiment, so that I might try using it for its essential purpose?

Thanks.

Re: Importing .mov into MOHO 14 with transparency

I import a 5 second .mov movie into MOHO 14 and I get a black background instead of transparency. If the video you're importing into Moho is for tracing or timing an animation, and you don't mind an imperfect work-around, go to Layer Settings for the video and set the "Blending" mode to S...

Shaky Camera

When animating an action scene with a lot of shaky camera-work, how do you prepare for it? Do you expand the background a few hundred pixels in both directions beyond the workspace, and do the camera-work in Moho? Or do you render the scene in Moho, then zoom-in on the scene in the editing software ...
