Re: "Dead Engine" a new animated short
Thanks for your positive comments. Animation is quite the process. Working with really talented artists raises the bar for everyone. It's fun going through the different phases and keeping the doors open for great ideas that pop up on the fly'. You can always count on a "fresh eye" to poin...

Re: "Dead Engine" a new animated short
Thanks. We had a lot of fun putting this together. I used ASP for the character animation. The tow truck driver's face texture is a actually from a photograph I had taken of the furnace in our basement.

"Dead Engine" a new animated short
A few of us threw this short together in our free time. It took about a year or so to do it in total. It's been done for about a month and the plan is to submit it to about 2 animation festivals each month. I animated the characters in Anime Studio Pro. I think Logic was used for the composing. Phot...

Animated short
Hi, I put this one together in 2 weeks and 2 days start to finish. I used ArtRage3 to handle the drawing element and brought the images into ASP to complete the animation. The turnaround had to be quick. ASP was perfect. I learned a few things on the fly as well. Sc0tt http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Gradient on frame 0 doesn't translate to frame 1
Thanks for the link. I didn't realize that 'bone influence' could affect the gradient. Still learning something new every day. Much appreciated.

Gradient on frame 0 doesn't translate to frame 1
Sorry about the terminology. I'm sure there is a better phrase for it. By blocky I mean that the nice tonal range (dark to light) I was hoping to get inside the body parts translates to half dark and half light, with the the two colours meeting in the middle. The exported QT is blocky as well. Hopef...

Gradient on frame 0 doesn't translate to frame 1
Hi,
I'm trying to add a gradient to a new character that I'm building. It displays nicely on frame 0 as I build him, but becomes very blocky as soon as I go to frame 1 on the timeline. I have a couple frame grabs, but I'm not sure how to post them here. Any pointers?
