It works fine here (ASP8). I suggest you re-install Quicktime, this has helped me in the past with audio problems. Maybe re-download the latest version.

Imported just fine to my AS 7 pro.

I agree with jonbo, it may be a quicktime problem.
Sorry for bad animation

A QuickTime problem never crossed my mind.

I'm re-downloading QuickTime right now.

It was a QuickTime problem!

So, for some reason or another, ASP had some trouble with QT.

I had to uninstall QuickTime
re-install it,
and it wasn't planned, but a "We can't find QTFC(or something).dll, so you did all of this for nothing." error was popping up everytime I started ASP, I shutdown the computer very angry, then back at night I turn it on again. (YES, I REBOOT).

Now it works!

Thank you everyone, this sort of things you can't find them in the manual.

This isnt so much a 'how do i?' as it is a 'why don't you?'

Anime Studio should install quicktime as a dependency on windows 7, I couldn't even import video in the library until I installed quicktime. Was sort of unnerving at first, and the fix is easy, but its in no way easy to come to the conclusion that this is the fix. To have no useable audio or video support right off the 'git go' seems like a HUGE oversight.
