Making Eyeballs relocate without moving...any suggestions?

Post by undergrounddog »

I have a relatively simple questions, but since I'm just starting out learning this software, something simple eludes me.
I have created a partial character, and given him a head, eyes, pupils, a neck and body, and a mouth and tongue, each in a seperate layer, and then placed in a bone layer, with bones on the arms and torso, so far....
I would like to make the eye pupils dissappear in frame 6, then pop back in looking to the right, in say..., frame 12, without the appearance of the eyes slowly rolling to the right. More like traditional animation, I guess. How can I accomplish this in Moho?
Thanks,

(Basically, I'm trying to find out how to bypass Moho's animation "tweens" to stop automatic animation from occuring. I would like to use the auto-function sometimes, and then "turn it off" at others, still working with the same characters) - Is this possible?

Allright, I understand masking a little better, but i'm still having the same problem.
My figure's eyes are masked out for the first 6 frames, then his eyes come in on the right and appear for 6 frames. This is working fine, But everytime I try to blank his eyes out and repeat masking then make his eyes re-appear on the left side, I always have the same problem. From frame 6 to 12 ( I believe), the eyes start to roll to the left, then blink out, then re-appear on the left side.

I think I'm having a hard time over-riding the auto-animation capabilities, but maybe I just don't know how to do it.
any help would be appreciated,
Thanks,

I think you want to go to frame 11, add a keyframe, just like on for frame six where the pupil has the switch selected for an empty pupil. Then, right click on the keyframes in 11 and in 12, and select "step" so that moho doesn't "tween".

This is off the top of my head, so someone else can clarify...

Thanks Jorgy,
that's helping me tremendously. Now I need to learn how to apply it for my needs. Back to the drawing board.
