okay I've had Anime Pro for a few months now and I've been messing around with it as I've had a project I've wanted to do for a while. I REALLY wanted to do 3D backgrounds which would be easier when it came down to filming but I just can't seem to navigate it right or get the style I'm looking for.
Long story short I wanna make backgrounds in GIMP then upload each image onto a single layer so I can still get some kind of a 3D effect so it looks half decent instead of a newbish pile of crap.
EG: Make a path in Gimp and upload onto one layer, make a road and upload onto the next layer and so forth.
Can it be done or am I just making more work for myself?

You're totally on the right track. See that you save from Gimp as PNG with transparency, choose useful dimensions (just a bit larger than needed), and you're done.

I was thinking about making the dimensions a slightly bit bigger. Thank you so much for your help!
