Re: Open the Window
There's a bit of slide on the character. It looks a lot like the floor was just waxed.
This is a common problem. Half my characters look like they're ice skating around the room. You'll get the hang of matching the movement speed with the cycle speed, it takes some time. But here's a tool that can help:

one thing you can do to make your walk cycle not so "slidey" is something I learned from Selgin as well. What you end up doing is (assuming your rig is all boned up) just beneath the feat, you make a second set of bones (one under each foot), that are connected to the feet bones and positioned directly below. The foot that carries the weight, you select said bone beneath and click on "LOCK BONE" which should be up in the top section and that'll stop the bone from being moved with everything else, that way when you animate the step, you really get the sense of gravity and weight positioning and it looks amazing. When he lands his step, you unlock that bone and lock the one that takes the step and animate the next step. It has a very foolproof look to it but it takes a lot of practice to get down to a science as you find that sometimes the legs will either "Break" or do crazy loops on you. But hey, all part of the process right?
This probably sounds ridiculous. I tried to find the video that explains the whole thing, but i couldn't.
