bone binding, character zooming, and camera movement.

Post by slejzaart »

Can anyone help me. I think I've watched all the tutorials more than once and I am still having issues. After I make all the pieces of my character, I add the bones and bind them. I lower bone strength as well. When i go to manipulate the bones it pulls the sections, or layers, of the character apart, almost circling the origin marker. I tried moving the origin marker around but it would only solve the problem for certain sections of the body.
Next is zooming. I have a scene where I want to start out with a full view of a character and then zoom in on his face. When I do this, even though I think I have set a keyframe, the character will appear but his eyes or nose will appear off to the side and slowly follow the character through the sequence of the zoom and rest next to him. It also effects previous scenes. Where i have a view set up will be zoomed in on. Does the origin marker have anything to do with this? Also is there a way to reposition the blue line attached to the origin marker?

Always check the Z value of all your pieces before you bind them: it should be 0. This is the most common mistake and causes the un-assembling of characters in animation or camera movement.
