exporting stills

Post by Reindeer »

Is there a way to get some good quality still images from my animated project? I find myself using the images from the Render Cache but they never look very good and the resolution can't be changed (not that I've seen but I may have missed it).
I find a good old export to jpeg, tiff, png, maybe even eps would be very useful.

I'm using Pro11. But, oops... my bad! I totally missed the Save As menu on the Render Cache window! Great, make believe I didn't say anything :D Thanks Slowtiger.

So that solves that. I guess it would still be nice to be able to change the res of the images, especially for print purposes.
I guess one way to get 'round that is make a new project with larger proportions, import the scene in there, stretch it to where it fits again and then export. A little laborious but it's one way.

You can change the res of your project anytime. Just go into Project Settings and enter the desired resolution--the artwork will scale to fit automatically. If you use vector art, the quality should be good of course; if you have bitmap images in your scene, the output quality will depends on the original resolution of your images.
