How would I set up separate scenes?

Oops. Myself, I just installed the latest version (2.0 rc2.1) for the hell of it, and it comes up fine. I'm on XP SP2, haven't tried it on my 2K system. Although, from a quick perusal just now of their forums, I may have been way too quick to recommend it. Ah, well, it was a nice thought... I'll keep looking though. If you don't mind spending a few bucks (it's like a hundred, I believe), you could do a lot worse than the minimum version of Vegas. I've been using the various versions of Vegas and Acid for, well, since they started, and I'm really comfotable with the setup and workflow. I used to use Acid in my recording studio when I had to leave artists alone with the gear for a bit, I could teach them (if they weren't complete boneheads) the basics in about 10 minutes if they wanted to lay down an extra track or 20 off the clock. Vegas has a similar head.

hold on now i tried the 2.0 rc1 and its working.. weird stuff hehe

ill try rc2 and see if that works

No doubt. I use Virtualdub as a workhorse all the time. The only problem, in this case, is noones come up with a version that can read .MOV files, which is what was being looked for. But Virtualdub rocks, and if you can do a little AVIsynth scripting, omigod.
