All bones move at once - why?

Post by kamiledi15 »

Hello,
few years ago I made an animation. Now I want to make second one and I have weird problem. I'm using bones and I was able to move every bone separately. For example I move one hand during 2 seconds, but while this hand was moving I was moving another hand in other direction. But now when I move one hand for example from 1 to 4 seconds, and I want to move another hand in 2 to 5 seconds, the second hand teleports to beginning position in fourth second, when first hand finishes it's movement. Here is the video:

You can see that I move the tail and it's correct. But then I move hand and it teleports when the tail ends it's movement in 271 frame, but it shouldn't. Why is it happening? When I was making my first movie few years ago it worked correctly. Maybe I accidentally switched something on? How can I fix it? I want to move every bone separately, it shouldn't reset its position when other bone ends its movement.

Check if you have 'auto-freeze keys' enabled on the timeline. This will produce a position on the timeline anytime you manipulate any bone, which is very useful for animations that involve continuous motions from one discrete pose to another.

If you use the 'select bone' tool, you can check which frames each bone has assigned to it in the timeline (in red, unless you assigned a different color to that bone), then delete the unintended bone position.

Yes- I had "auto-freeze" enabled. I don't know why, probably I clicked it accidentally. Now it works perfectly, thanks!
