So, some brush effects seem to work, which include:
Gradient
Image Texture
Shaded
However, the remaining brush effects don't seem to work:
Crayon
Drop Shadow
Halo
Soft Edge
With the ones that work, all I have to do is select the effect, adjust the settings how I want, and can brush/fill stuff and it works. The others just don't seem to do anything. Am I missing something?
I have screenshots, but I don't know of a way to post them in a forum post.

Re: Certain Brush Effects not working
Some fill effects only show up in renders or with GPU acceleration enabled in the preferences.
The ctrl-r hotkey is handy for testing those fill effects if you don't want to enable GPU acceleration.

Re: Certain Brush Effects not working
MrMiracle77 pretty much covered it. Just some additional info...
As mentioned, some of those effects will preview n the Workspace only when GPU Acceleration (GA) is enabled. You need to enable this option in Preferences AND in the Display Options.
GPU Acceleration is good for displaying effects and also for speeding up certain rigging setups. So you may be asking, why not leave GA enabled all the time? It's because GA can display certain masking configurations incorrectly. In fact, many users will work in Moho with GA disabled only until they need it. (To disable GA, you only need to uncheck it in the Display Options list under the workspace but leave it on in Preferences.)
Also, while GA allows Moho to preview some of these effects in the Workspace, it's not an accurate depiction of the effects. To see a more accurate render use Ctrl-R for a frame preview, and for the most accurate display you need to render as normal using Export Animation or Moho Exporter.
Generally speaking, it's not necessary to see the effects in the Workspace when you're rigging and animating. When working on Styles, most Moho users will just spot check the look using Ctrl-R, and then move on to another task.

Re: Certain Brush Effects not working
Okay, thanks for the responses.
Quick side question: is there any way to post a screenshot from my desktop to a forum post? Or is the only way to upload the image to the internet and then link to the image?

Re: Certain Brush Effects not working
If you want to embed a download link for a file inside a post, the file needs to be hosted somewhere online.
Here's my preferred way...
1. Install Dropbox on your desktop. (See next post for link to the free edition.)
2. Save or drag the file to a folder in your Dropbox. This file will be uploaded to the cloud storage.
3. Right click over the file and choose "Copy Dropbox Link."
4. Paste this link into a forum post and it will send the user to the file's download page.
A better method....
4. Paste this link into a forum post and change the 0 at the end to a 1. This makes the link download directly from this forum.
If you want clean up the link (i.e., give it a custom link name,) you can use the Insert URL button in the post editor to start formatting the link.
5. Select the link and click the Insert URL button.
6. Modify the format so it becomes:
The underline style is optional but I think it makes it clearer that the text is a link.
If you wish to embed an image inside a post, follow these steps...
1. Paste the Dropbox link for the image
2. Change dl=0 to raw=1
3. Select the text and click the Image button.
4. Modify the format to:
The image will now appear inside your post.
Note that the link mods described above are unique to files hosted on Dropbox. It's probably different with other cloud services. Another good option is Google Drive...maybe a user who uses this for images and files for this forum will post details.
Hope this helps.

You can also use dedicated free image hosting site like: https://imgbb.com. Simply upload you image, and then copy paste the BBCode URL like below:

Re: Certain Brush Effects not working
Oh, duh...of course you're right about the formatting...and I knew that too...double-duh on me. :p
@My Own Style, yeah, you can ignore what I wrote about moving the bracket for the image link, and inserting the custom name is completely optional. If you use Dropbox though, the part about replacing dl=0 with raw=1 is still needed if you want to embed the image in a post. This is not needed if you use a free image host.
The reason I don't like using a free image hosting site is because this forum used to use a specific one by default, and when this free hosting service was sold and it stopped being free, all the images were deleted and we wound up with a ton of broken links. Use at your own risk.
