Keyframes added when importing png file

Post by hammerjammer »

I have used the software for many years now and have NEVER had this happen to me before... I am using the current MOHO 14.2 version.
I'm not a pro and frankly not very good at this and only animate for fun so this is not do or die, however I'm good enough at this to know that this is an oddity...

I'm having this weird issue where when I drag and drop a PNG file into my project there are keyframes added to the timeline....

This happen even though I AM ON ZERO IN THE TIMELINE.

And once the PNG file is added to project, I cannot use the Transform layer tool to change its size or rotate it in any way to size and to orientate it in any way.
BUT IF I -DO- MOVE ELSEWHERE IN THE TIMELINE I THEN CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT. But I still have the automatically added keyframes to deal with that were added when I was on ZERO and added the PNG file...
ALSO, strangely when I delete the added keyframes the PNG resorts back to the size it was when I added it...

its very odd.

AGAIN, I AM ON ZERO(0) IN THE TIMELINE.

Thanks for any help
Hammer

My guess is that you've moved the group/bone layer you imported the PNG to on the sequencer, so it's frame zero is no longer on frame zero.

WOW YOUR GOOD.... after some digging and experimenting with that theory I found that you are SPOT ON... I do in fact have that group/bone layer shifted in the sequencer a bit.... So when I moved the timeline scrubber(LOL don't know what its called) to the very beginning of where it starts in the timeline THEN added the PNG file it worded as expected.... AS IF THAT LAYER HAS A DIFFERENT OR A SHIFTED ZERO START POINT... VERY INTERESTING...

I hope I explained that in a way that made sense. ANYWAY, thanks so much for the quick response and for the help....
THANK YOU THANK YOU.

My mind is at ease now...ya pulled that one out of somewhere... LOL ( I'm betting you had this type of issue once too. You were way to quick with an answer for this seemingly very specific problem.

Thanks again, and have a great day my friend.

I've just seen others run into it a lot. The keyframe you were seeing was the layer's frame zero (where it would originally align with the timeline frame zero). Frame zero keys can't really be deleted. They're usually just hidden if there's no other keyframes in the timeline.

Glad I could help.
