I treated myself to a new drawing tablet in the Black Friday sales, and I'm trying out a new way of drawing characters with it.
On each layer I'm loosely sketching out the character with the Freehand tool, without trying to create shapes. just loose, unconnected lines.
Then on the layer below I'm using the Add Points tool to create a shape that follows the outline above, creating a shape with no stroke, just a colour fill.
I like the hand-drawn look that it has, although most of my animation is point animation rather than bones. So I might need to manually add a few extra points at the joints later.
