Announcement: PapagayoMOD v1.3.5 (XSheet, Image export, etc)
Based on the source code of Papagayo v1.1
PapagayoMOD v1.3.5.3
Changes from 1.3.4 to 1.3.5.1:
*More Drag-n-Drop bug fixes
Changes from 1.3 to 1.3.4:
*Bug fixes
*Scale on Drag option
*win32 binary compiled with unicode version of wxPython
Changes from 1.2 to 1.3:
*Bug fixes
*XSheet
*Image export
*Extra languages (the ones provided by 'myles', in the 'Test version of Papagayo supporting extra languages' topic)
*Automatic loading of additional language breakdown modules
*When loading an audio file, it automatically loads the text file (.txt) with the same name
Features:
Undo/Redo
Phoneme Drag 'n Drop
Phoneme deletion with right-click
Excel file export
Ctrl-Space shortcut for Sound playback
Ctrl-Z, Ctrl-Y undo redo shortcuts
NOTE: To automatically load any new language breakdown module,
it must have a filename in the form 'language_breakdown.py'
(ex: dutch_breakdown.py)
And in that there must be a function in the form 'breakdownLanguageWord(word)'
(ex: 'breakdownNorwegianWord(word)')
The function may have any additional parameters
as long as they have a default value.
The bad news is that it searches and automatically
loads new modules only in the source distribution.
To make a binary distribution with 'py2exe' you must
add a line to the 'LipsyncFrame.py' to import the module
(ex: "import dutch_breakdown"), nothing else.
It will automatically scan through all the loaded modules and find the correct function.
Uses a modified 'ThumbnailCtrl' module (which requires PIL),
'pyExcelerator-0.6.3a' for Excel file export
(if you don't have it installed the Excel export option will be disabled)
The source code is a little messy but it works (for me at least)
Tested on P ython 2.4, wxP ython 2.6-unicode, WindowsXP.
Enjoy.

P.S. It still has bugs so if you find any
please report them.

I will post there any advances i make to papagayoMOD
in the foreseeable future.

And well, now... don't know why but I can't drag any phoneme, word or phrase... and I can't play any phoneme, word or frase (neither) when I make a doble click over it... Well, I hope this helps cause with this the workflow would be definitelly improved! BTW I'm under Windows XP... THANKS! (Again

Bug Reports
Anyone who posts bug reports, please follow these guidelines:
*Specify your Operating System (ex, windowsXP, MacOS, Linux, etc)
*Are you using the source or the win32 binary distribution?
*If using the source, specify the version of Python and wxPython installed on your system
*And most important of all, post the error log of the application
(the file named "papagayo.exe.log" for the binary distribution,
or any error messages in the python console window)
It will make hunting for bugs much easier, thanks.

I 'm a bit confused now.
When do all the phonemes go left?
1. When you right-click a word to make a custom breakdown?
2. When you try to move a word?
3. When you resize a word?
4. Or do they go left on their own, without doing anything?
And by 'left' you mean 'on the same frame',
or 'really close to each other on the left side of the word'?
Please be as specific as possible, otherwise i won't be able to fix it.
BTW are you using the win32 binary or the source code?
and what version?
Thanks

The new phonemes go left because the old ones are erased.
This is normal behavior.
If you want to have the same number of phonemes at the same place
but with different type you should drag-and-drop different phonemes
(from the thumbnails on the left side of the window)
over the ones you want to replace.
BTW you can delete a phoneme by right-click, on the waveform view or the xsheet view.
