Hi
I'm working on a scene with around 6 speaking characters and quite a complex backdrop using the Pro version of AS. For some reason which I can't fathom, the soundtrack does not export to the quicktime movie. I've tried changing the track from AIFF to WAV but no joy. I've also tried doing a test with a smaller sound file attached to a single character and this has exported successfully. Has anyone else experienced problems using large (ish) sound files when exporting? Mines is around 70sec long, shows up fine in the timeline and plays when I scrub along the track but just fails to export with the film! Is there a limitation to the length of a soundtrack or is there something I'm missing?
thanks

ps I'm using a 2.1 ghz G5 iMac running OSX 10.4.8 with 1gb ram.
I've never experianced the problem and i've recently completed a 1:20 scene in moho and the export was fine. And i can't see how the hardware will be an issue, pretty hefty system. Might be something to do with the quicktime version maybe?
Hmm, it sounds strange, I just completed an animation with 3:17 minutes of music in it with no problems, I used wav file.
I use ppc g4 1.3ghz dual with 1.5 gb ram and the latest qt, do you use the latest qt? it should be 7.1.3
Thanks for the feedback. Its good to know its nothing to do with the length of the anim. I also tried a wav version of the soundtrack file but with no joy and yes I'm using the latest version of QT. Good news is that the outputted file is matching up fine with the soundtrack in Premiere so although its a bit annoying technically its not the end of the world.
I seem to have solved the problem on export. It turns out that the soundtrack only exports with the film when you go from frame zero. If you go from frame one it doesn't seem to work, which means that you can't test sections of the film with sound. Wonder if this will be addressed in future versions?
