Make a body that dose not suck?

I have got down making heads right now to the point I want to. I watched the greykid vid's and learned from them. I see how they make there lip sync and what not for the most part. But I now am at the point I need my people to have body's. I can't get it at all. Can Draw them using the tools but the rigs and movements never turn out the way I want. Dose any one know how to rig a character like this one?

But I can't for the life of me get the body to work right. I need basically the arms to be able to move about and the torso. There wont be much walking. Not yet anyway. The strings on the hood should be able to swing and the fingers need to be posed. basic stuff like pointing or holding a smoke.

It took me about 5 hours in the program too get the head that way and its been 3 days and I have scraped 8 Body's. I'm frustrated. :? Can some one help. even make an example rig maybe?

Have you looked to the content that come with Anime Studio? There are plenty of examples of rigging a character.

Yes I have. A lot of them are very simple though. Some are bitmaps. I mostly looking for a way to model this character. I've looked at the examples but for instance I could not find any where the cloths were baggy. So I have no Idea how to make the hoody this character is wearing look like one and move like one.

Here is my Head and Start of my body rig. Can anyone fix it or tell me whats wrong the arm needs to be able to go up to the mouth as the character smokes. here is my file.

I looked at your file.
The non-functional screen right arm has had the points unbound somehow.
Select all the points in that arm, then choose Bone->Flexi-bind Points.
Makes the arm functional again.
Then you'll have to deal with the other issues in getting a character like yours looking pro. I feel your pain.

Cool. I'm just saying screw it for now. I have some more work Im going to post tonight. I did a Full background today and played with Z-depth and rotation. Also played with partical effects.

I'm going to cheat and do a temp head shot when the arm moves up so I don't Have to animate it, Mostly just as a rough. :)
