Anime Studio To Moho

Post by tomfommber »

Is there anyway to make AS files backward compatible with MOHO 5? In other words is there any way to get MOHO 5 to open AS files? I lost my PC :x and will only have access to Moho until I get the funds to replace my copy.

On a side note, how much functionality am I going to lose with this switch? Any major feature changes?

Thanks.

I have ASP on the PC and Moho 5.3 on the Mac (I can't use ASP on the Mac until I upgrade to Tiger so I got ASP for PC.).

The files are totally compatible. As a matter of fact, Moho 5 opens .anme files without a hitch.

I do not know it this is the same for Win or Linux Moho. I just assume it is.

Hold on a second... if you lost your PC why must you purchase a new copy of AS?

If you have a legal copy you should be able to just download it again... what't the scoop?

I know that's not really good.
But I tried it.
Eager to get knowledge, as I ever always are....
I tried to use my Serial for ASP Windows to put it into the ASP Mac/Apple, this doesn't work. (Tiger OSX on a G4)
Is it because a windows serial doesn't work on a Mac?

I know that the Box-version, (physical), has both abbilties, is inside a special hybrid number or two numbers?

You LOST your PC?

Man. How'd you manage that? Unless your PC was a notebook or something. I mean, you can't really misplace a desktop... where'd I leave it last? In the kitchen? Bathroom? Hmm...

Well, I know a bunch of people who are able to loose a whole computer, since they own more than 20 or so (and have them all running in their apartment!) There's even the chance to top that with the notorious computer who is totally available over internet, but nobody remembers where it has its physical place ...

As if they would do something artsy ... no, they're hardcore coders and programmers ans sysadmins. Other kind of creativity.

Wake up!!!

Not serial numbers. This has to do with file VERSION compatibility. The file formats are the same. You can't swap around serial numbers.

You only get one Mac or one Windows serial number. They aren't interchangeable.

This is why I was curious about the first post... if tomfommber lost his computer why would he lose the software?

If your hard drive crashes you don't have to buy new software.
Sounds "weird" to me... like... well...

If you had a "bogus" copy of AS and your computer crashed or was "lost" you wouldn't be able to download and install a new copy... that's what popped into my head.

I am sure that is NOT the case here but it makes you wonder.

I’m in the process of trying Linux as a replacement for Windows because I hate Vista so much.

The down side is that most of the software I use is Windows or Windows and Mac. Another is buying new licenses for software that I already own.

I have 14 computers and just move from a shop back into my home. I lost some software disks, there around somewhere, but to lose and whole computer?

I know the pain of multiple platforms/versions.

Lately I have been leaning more towards open source software that runs on both platforms (ie; OpenOffice, Gimp) and is easy (cheap) to acquire. I couldn't possibly afford duplicate software for both Win and Mac. I can barely afford it for one platform. I do most of my work on the Mac so that is the platform I "buy" for.

Luckily I have both versions of ASP... I just can't run the Mac version of ASP yet so I'm stuck with Moho on the Mac and ASP on Windows... not much different at all.

Hey, Vern!

I've been using ASP on my Mac running on Panther ever since it came out. No problems. Give it a whirl, might work.

Dagnabbit!

It would appear that my original download was corrupted THAT is why it won't install.

Unfortunately I can't redownload since content paradise says the download has expired. Why did the download expire for this one?

Dagnabbit.

Oooo! Sorry -that reminds me, I should check to make sure I backed up my installer.

I bet Mike Clifton would help you out with that one though.
