Did you check the drop down on the bottom right of the workspace window for the display level? Make sure you have images checked as being visible there.

Clear as mud?

Visible is checkedand on --still no EPS picture...

Me too. I tried.

I think if it's VECTOR stuff inside the EPS file, you might be able to. If not, rather save it is a .JPEG, .GIF, or preferably a .PNG in Photoshop and import it as an IMAGE file.

EPS import is for VECTOR ONLY like Adobe Illustrator type EPS. It doesn't support raster format EPS.

If it is raster EPS then the layer created in AS is "empty" because there are no vectors in it.
