I'm having issues importing from Illustrator CS3. Any help or suggestions?

This topic has a long history. Look around. The usual answer is "get used to using AS drawing tools"...unfortunately.
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

Save it as an older version of the illustrator format.
I doubt the AI import in AS is going to recognize the latest version of AI.
