My first attempt at doing animation.-comments please...

Post by bigjohnandcheese »

Hi guys.
A while back a friend and i came up with some characters and a format for a t.v. show. We wrote a treatment and started writing the scripts for the first season. We sent the treatment to TalkbackThames (Freemantle Media). Ages later and we'd heard nothing. So we looked to do something cool. We wanted to create an animation of our boys in some scenes from the show, without giving away the entire shows premise. (basically learn how to animate and then make our boys come to life, and give ourselves a well deserved buzz.)

So I went away and drew some pics and with no insght into animation or computers really, made this.

Clip is for an adult T.V. show, language may not be suitable for youngsters.

Was proud as punch.

So we made this too!

We got our meeting at talkback....

... Now making the pilot for them to pedal to the networks. Pressure is on to make it look more like that "Polaroid Slapdown" on youtube, anyone know who it was done made it? Learning everything i can as quickly as i can. Rock on!

Any comments, help and advise when it's needed would be greatly appreciated, feel that we may have got our meeting before we got the skills.

I had no idea what was going on :) but looks really good! Great for a first effort, much better than my first animations were! Congrats on the production company interest too, it's something I'd like to try one day.
