(repost) visibility problems!!!

Post by aqutenolej »

i didnt know where to post this so i just posted this in both the bug report section and this section.
ok... so everything has worked fine til now. i am in the middle of animating my character, and when i save it, something goes wrong. and i dont know when or where i went wrong. when i have the bone layer selected, i can see everything (the face, the legs, all the elements of the character himeself). However, when i select the vector layer with those elements in it, everthing disappears but the bones. i dont know what happened. i already opened a file with one of my other characters and everything works fine, so it has to be something i did.

Need more info.

What you describe... doesn't exactly make sense to me. I am sure the problem can be figured out but some details are missing or incorrect.

My first guess relates to switch layers. That is the only situation I can think of that would cause a layer to not be visible (disappear) when it isn't "selected". For instance if there are several layers in a switch layer and one is set to be "active" the others are not visible unless you SELECT them. Switch layers can contain bones.

Other than that I'm lost. It might be issues with layer visibility on some keys in the timeline. Like I said I can't reproduce the problem because I don't think all the information provided is accurate.

Look in your timeline. Go to settings and click the box that says "all" then click ok. Scroll up and down and see if there are any keyframes set for your vector layer. Maybe the visibility has been turned off?

What frame are you at when you can see the face and such when the bone layer is selected? What about when the vector layer is selected. Try scrubbing through the timeline.

Hope some of this was helpful. Vern may be right though. We need more details.

Is the bone folder visibility unchecked. I made that mistake early this morning and i kept looking at another characters bones
I do cartoons and make music. I like to make music because John K is not likely to tell me I am doing it wrong.
