readjust line width

Post by Phillysteak »

Can someone please tell me how to do this. I selected the line with select shape button then pressed the space bar. Well, I want to readjust the line width so I select it again for a smaller line width but it stays as the last line width. boy this is making me mad! HOW CAN I DO IT WITHOUT DELETING AND REDOING THE LINE???

While the line is selected with the select shape tool, just adjust its width. No need to hit space bar for an already created shape. Also, if you've adjusted the line width of any points, with the line width tool, you'll need to select those points and do Draw>Reset Line Width before it will let you adjust the width in the style window.

sorry synthsin my mistake. it wasn't the select shape button. that button doesn't work in selecting a line. I meant to say the create shape button under the fill section. for instance if the line width is 2 I cannot seem to get it back to 1. I render and it is still a thicker line than 1. Do you understand? I can't seem to get it back to 1 again unless i delete it and create it with a #1 line width.

Changing an already created shape, including its line width, is done the way I said above, with the select shape tool. New shapes are created using the default style (the one that is already set before creating the shape) or once a new shape has been finalized, hitting the space bar.

Either way, in can be changed as long as the shape is selected (still selected in the case of a new shape). The only things that will keep you from changing it is either using the line width tool, like I said, or having a saved style applied to the shape.
