Does eFrontier REALLY expect to have people pay for a late translation of ASP -- in addition to an overdue, separate "official guide" ?

I already did buy a "physical" version of ASP (ie CD+ otherwise empty box), expecting an exhaustive paperback version of the HTML demo manual : no way to pay for a French translation now, either!

(Isn't there a way to have their come back to their sense ?)

Hell No.

Q: Hello, thank you for your quickness,

Indeed, I am wondering why the french translation force to repay the software as a whole.

A: As with Poser, Shade, and other programs, the Anime Studio Localized Versions are separate Programs. Users of the English Version will need to purchase the French Version as a separate Product. Currently the Pro Version in French is on sale for $149.99

As always, contact me if you have any additional questions or if you need additional assistance.

Thanks

...

That makes me sick.

but it's only a text file!
i have my anime studio in spanish. i took a moho spanish translation file from lostmarble.com and continue translating it.
they can't charge $150 for a file that was for free before.

Then I think we should wait for a new french user to buy the french version and ask him to give us this file to turn our english version into french version.

Q: 149$ for a single file (Anime Studio.5.4.strings) that can edited by myself.

A: I apologize for the confusion. I confirmed with the Project Team... Unlike Moho, there is more than just the Strings File that has been changed. The Program Application File and several other Files besides Documentation have been modified to provide the French Language Version. I understand your point of view; however, Anime Studio French is treated as a Separate Program.

As always, contact me if you have any additional questions or if you need additional assistance.

I'm completely agree with you Selgin.

Unfair also when he said "I understand your point of view", because "points of view" are questionable, negotiable. No negotiations here. Sometimes, I would prefer dev sell their software themselves.

Excuse me, but what did you mean ?

to Vern > Well, new features are exciting, but it is off topic. And it's not only a "french problem".

I've just bought Flash MX, and I can say that AS is really better for animation than Flash. It is regrettable not being able to use it in our own respective language. Localized versions are just to make more and more easy money.
Anyway, it seems to come full circle. I promise stop this whinning.
