14" 1280 x 800 here. This may be the culprit. :?

I tried the same resolution (1280 x 800):

The resolution is not the problem. As I commented before I CAN reproduce the bug with a 1400x1050 resolution screen.

Thanks Rasheed. That must mean it is an AS bug. I just can't figure out why it doesn't effect you. Did you ever install the 5.5 update? It may have started there.

No, I never did. I didn't do anything about animation for about a year, so I missed that upgrade.

Yeah, just installed Moho 5.2. This bug existed for switch layers for all this time. Who knew?!

Uh...Rasheed, I just noticed something you might want to try. It appears that setting the timeline to show all channels doesn't necessarily do it for all channels on all layer types, just the ones available for that layer.
If that's not it, then what was your previous version of AS?

Confirming bug too, on Windows Vista Home Premium, ASP 5.6, dual monitor standard and widescreen.

I just thought I'd point out that I'm on a 1920x1200 resolution. This bug is not resolution-dependent as far as I can tell.

You know there are probably some channels you don't need to see all the time.

This is a problematic bug... but still... It effects bone layers only so... do you really need the layer blur channel on all the time? What about layer motion blur? Bone dynamics? Do you use this all the time?

You only need to find two options to turn off to fix the bug in most situations.

the bug SHOULD be fixed but in the meantime there is a workaround.

True, it probably doesn't need to impact you that much in most work, but it's something I'll be fixing anyway.
