I'm working on a "motion capture" type thing. Basically I just record a video of myself from the side view then, import the Quicktime file to Moho ,then, to the best of my ability, animate what I see on the vid.
I'll post stuff soon!

It is a good idea. Perhaps if you stick small visible control points on you (little balls, papers, LEDs...), you can trace the motion very precisely. Just place the bone ends always to the control points...

That´s
rotoscoping.

Maybe. But if you just use the points as guides for your bone scaling and translation, you could maybe call it Mocap. I've thought of using some motion capture data I have in Moho, but writing the 3d stuff to make it work makes my head hurt.

In this clip I used "Motion capture"
"is marked, we light"
or, "We celebrate, partying"
It is very simple way, capture of movement of the mouse
1. To take strong bone
2. Press Spase
3. move, move, move mouse
4. Press Spase

It not a joke

New Product
Movimento is a new software, which captures the motion of non-rigid objects from multiple (2 or more) image sequences. Movimento is a state-of-the-art video-based motion capture solution “Powered by SMART”, REALVIZ’ powerful automatic tracking engine.
Movimento offers users a complete and flexible solution for facial, hand, arm and full-body motion capture across a wide range of applications, from special effects to behavioral analysis amongst many others. Movimento also offers users the possibility to combine matchmoving (3D camera tracking) and motion capture processes for rapid on-set mocap, and to automatically reconstruct 3D meshes from the tracked data.
Movimento will be demonstrated on the REALVIZ booth at SIGGRAPH 2006, together with a complete 4-camera system (640*480 CCD cameras, 200 frames per second).

Wow, that Movimento thing sounds like something I could use. I'm currently attempting to put together a 3D motion capture rig using three Canon ZR500 camcorders (one for each axis). The tricky part is going to be calibrating the rig just right so the scale on each axis matches up with the others.
Another project I'm planning for later will be to mount the three cameras onto a small disc (each pointed outward every 120 degrees), then mounting it securely on a single tripod to create a full 360 degree panoramic movie using stitching software.
