I wouldn't say no to being able to edit colors by Hue, Saturation, and Luminance, too, in addition to RGB. A lot of times, especially on gradients, I like to pick one color, then an offsetting color that is similar but varies a little in luminance.

I want to put in my absolute and complete agreement on this feature request.
Color selection/modification is one of the big problems with AS. The custom image palette is the best workaround so far but is still a pain when you decide you need to globally change a color in a huge complex file.
I will often have several styles that use the same color as part of a gradation or halo effect. So I have to make sure to change those colors as well. I often write down the new hex value of a color so I can change these by hand easier or I use a text editor when possible to make global color changes. It's not as intuitive but it works.
hmm... maybe a script might work for global color changes...

Actually, there is a script for global colour change. I have it installed in mine... It's by Julien Stiegler and it's on this forum somewhere... Called js_replace_color.lua

Dagnabbit!
Had a "senior moment" there. I have that script and completely forgot about it. I haven't really used it yet after getting it. What a bone head.
