I think the info I posted will be good to tell your friend though. Because of the way the licensing system works, it really wouldn't do him much good to use a shared license either.

Besides, if he really finds the program useful or simply enjoyable, he should support the developers for their hard work. They have families to support and bills to pay like everybody else. :)

Jeepers! Anyone who tries to "short cut" through life doesn't take their craft seriously. Always buy your own full copy of what ever is important to you, it demonstrates forethought and commitment. Why would you not want all the rights and support that goes with owning? That mindset is a business handicap in life as it will teach you. You'll see...

Why be so cheap? I paid the sale price of $69. for Anime 8 when I started, which is nothing, and has been priceless.
