Text from the tutorial on bone binding. Bold added for emphasis....
In the Layers window, click the New Layer button , and select "Bone" from the popup menu. Double-click the new bone layer to bring up the Layer Settings dialog. Name the new layer "Arm Bones" and click OK. Finally, drag the "Arm" vector layer upward to move it into the bone layer:

It's okay... don't feel bad.
I have done the same thing myself a thousand times.

That was just for future reference as you work with Moho...

If it should work... and it doesn't...

... make sure the computer is plugged in.

;)

p.s. Uh... masking... at some point you will try to do masking with layers and the preview may not... uh... look correct... but the render will...

so in that case... you WON'T have made a mistake.

Hey everyone,

I figured out how to make the bones "move the skin" a few days ago and have been experimenting with short clips of my characters waving or going after a baseball. The thing is though to make it work properly without the skin morphing and getting twisted up or start spinning and not be able to pose, I can only animate one appendege (works best with one arm) without this problem, my legs have to be stationary or i just have to allow it to bend and move wierdly the head and torso and the oppiste arm will do the same thing if I place bones throughout the body. I am not getting something or am I missing a step in the tutorials? :? I'll post one of my demo videos to help explain my problem better. Thanks in advanced.
