Nah, I'm not exaggerating the problem, per my new Windows Reliability monitor it logged that Anime Pro "stopped working" on 9/30/07, 10/1/07, 10/2/07.heyvern wrote: Another thing too... sometimes we exaggerate problems like this because we don't remember exactly how often it happens. Joy!
I think I may be pushing Anime too hard. My projects are 1-2 minutes long on average with lots of nested layers, imported pngs, wavs, and camera shots.
Surprising as it may seem I rarely run other programs when I use Anime Pro, as I understand that animation takes a crap load of system resources. Sometimes I use Movie Magic software while I use Anime Pro, but that can't be the problem as I did not even have that program installed on 9/30, 10/1, 10/2.It would be helpful if you tried to keep a crash log to verify when and how often you really are crashing. Write down how many times and when it crashes. Write down what you were working on at that moment, bones, vectors, shapes etc. What other applications were running. Were you doing something else like a big download or playing a video? Those kinds of things could help track down the source of the problem.
Next time Anime crashes I will take a screenshot of the error message and send it to efrontier tech guys to have them promptly ignore it.
I guess like cars, some people get lemons, while others don't.AS is one of those rock solid apps. I use a TON of flakey software... and ASP just doesn't fit that category.
I did download the supposed "new" update of Anime Pro (5.5?). Maybe that will help. Plus I uninstalled a really flakey video editing program that might be the culprit. But I am guessing I will continue to have crashing problems with Anime.
I will have to learn to live with it, or give up using Anime completely.
