Just curious, Vern
Did you download Camtasia when it was free
or did you buy it? I have the free version

I used the "free" version for the month then purchased it. The free trial is completely full functioning with no limitations. You get so hooked on it and rely on it you almost have to buy it if you want to keep producing the videos. It's like a drug dealer who gives you the first "hit" for free, gets you addicted and then starts charging you.

Hi there, for those of you who use the iMac, iShowU HD is a pretty close competitor to Camtasia Studio Here is where you find ishowU
http://www.shinywhitebox.com
I have used it and find it quite straight forward. Check the price of this to Camtasia. Youtube has tutorials for iShowU

Actually, ScreenFlow is probably the Mac equivalent of Camtasia. You can find it here
http://www.telestream.net/screen-flow/overview.htm
I, for years have used Snapz Pro but it really has been left behind in terms of keeping up with current technology. ScreenFlow takes advantage of the best tech that Leopard has to offer.
Vern, you should check it out.
Thanx man

I just upgraded to as6 pro from as5 debut, and I wasn't completely convinced it was a good buy. All of the awesome features aren't completely obvious. But, you covered a lot. Great Job!!
