Oh, the water-ripple is a quite intresting effect, indeed it is.
There are two ways that I can think of to make a ripple-effect.

The first it to use the bone-hill-effect (the one I just wrote a tutorial about). That would be difficult (and very time-consuming).

The second way is quite advanced too, and I don't have the energy to write a complete tutorial (at least not at the moment).

Here's how it looks anyway:

I'll try to post a moho-file tomorrow.

Okay, to download the ripple-effect-file go to this link:

http://www.hiddicop-moho.cjb.net

Download the Image-file and the moho-file and put them in the same folder.

If there's something you don't understand just ask me and I'll try to answer it.

Thanks. I'm planing on doing some animation. I'll do my best to make a masterpiece, but then I need a good idea. That's pretty much why I'm waiting - I need some inspiration. But meanwhile I'm doing thees things I'm posting here, and that make's me learn moho a bit better, and I can easily apply the effects I've come up with to animation. I've got a whole library of objects, effects and backgrounds that I just can import to a animation when I need to, so once I get a good idea I've probably done most of the work already. :D

The ripple effect looks interesting, however....I am totally ignorant regarding the downloading and using of .moho files that people post on forums here.

Is there a tutorial on how one downloads and uses the moho type files that people post on these forums?

I open the links to files listed and there is lots of text and such...but now what do I do?
And how and what format do I save it in on my computer so that I can open it in Moho and see it?

Thanks!

To download the Moho files (if your browser tries to display them as text), right-click on the link and use "Save File As" or some such command. You don't need to set the file type or anything, you just need to convince your browser to download the file instead of displaying it as text.

Thanks

And, as it seems as if you've understood the ripple-effect, I'm posting a little interesting thing. It's very artistic-looking, but it's really just based on a simple bug in moho. I'm using the "split layer"-script and some bones, and a simple square. That's all. Simple - but indeed very intresting, and good-looking. :D

And here, another test with clouds:

Does anyone have the hill moho file? I can't seem to get it to work by just going by the tutorial.
