Camera skipping

Sorry to bother you guys again but, when our movies with camera movements render out they play all jumpy. We thought maybe it was due to the png sizes or maybe it's just quicktime. Any ideas?

Thanks again,
Michael

If the movie is very very large (physical size in mb) than the player can't play all the frames and "skips" some. This probably has nothing to do with AS. To check it click the "render at half dimensions" in the export settings or make the project smaller in project settings (you can always change it back for final output).

Cool, thanks. Thats kind of what I thought, mostly what I hoped. When we used the arrow key to play through the movie slowly in quicktime and it didn't skip, that was weird to me, but it all makes sense now.

Thanks a lot,
Michael

I had a problem with my mov files (rendered out of Anime) skipping when I played them with Quicktime on my Windows systems (don't know if you are using Windows).

Found out it wasn't a memory issue as it did the exact same skipping on my older XP machine as in my new Vista machine. I made changes in Quicktime's advanced preferences and it solved the problem for me:

Under VIDEO
Click the DIRECTX button
check ENABLE DIRECT DRAW ACCELERATION
check ENABLE DIRECT DRAW ON SECONDARY MONITORS

DO NOT check ENABLE DIRECT 3D VIDEO ACCELRATION

Probably won't fix your problem but it worked for my mov file choppiness -- now they play smoothly.
