Help- my time line disappeared- the computer says it is there (under window, the timeline is checked, but its not on the screen). I uninstalled and re-installed and it still isn't showing up. What did I do?

Under the "Window" pull-down menu you will find the Timeline tab, make sure it is checked. HTH

it may be simply hidden behind one of your other windows.

i had done that, to no avail. eventually I found the arrange option and that did the trick.
