converting framerate from 12fps to 25fps

I animate at 12fps but would like to convert it to 25fps.
What is the best way to do this?
I was thinking of exporting as usual and then using Virtual Dub to convert the frame rate if that's possible? Or is there a way on Anime Studio?
Thanks!!

Unfortunately the way to change the fps is to use rescale key frames under the Animation menu.
If you just change the fps in the project settings it isn't going to "add" frames to increase the frame rate it will just make the animation play faster. Increasing the fps with another program will just make it look very "choppy". It will double the frames. It will look bad most likely.
If you use the "rescale key frames" command you should double the length (approximately) of the animation then change the frame rate to 25 in project settings.
Example:
Animation is 300 frames long. 25 is approximately 208% of 12. 208% * 300 frames would give you 625 frames (well... 624.9999 frames). Increase the fps form 12 to 25, and now the animation is 25 fps and it plays at the same "speed" as 12fps.
In the future remember that it is much easier to REDUCE the fps outside of AS than it is to increase it. It is better to have a higher fps than you need to start with.
Once you render at 12fps there is no way to add in frames that don't exist. That is why you have to physically move the key frames so there are more frames between each key to output.
Hope this makes sense.
