The Good:

The motion is fluid and seems just fine to me.

The expressions on the face are also interesting and I feel that part really works!

I like the character design (but see below).

The stylization of the tree trunks is very appealing.

The bad:

I would like to recommend (but only if you feel you have enough time and energy) that you test a more coordinated color scheme. I feel the grass is too green and the tree trunks are too grey. It would be nice to warm up the colors by adding more gold and olive to the colors. I would replace the black in the trees with a dull green.

More importantly, I don't approve of the choice to make the feet and one of the arms so tiny. To me, this doesn't bring any charm to the design.

Also, does your character design significantly resemble the client for the work? If it does, I wouldn't like the message that would send...

All in all, though, it's more good work. Too bad we can't see it crisp, in hi-res.

I agree with Human about the good point.

There're only two things that bother me about your character:
1. The head is either too large for the body or the body is too small for the head. It doesn't have to be in perfect proportion, but it shouldn't draw attention to itself. There is no hard-fast rule about this, it just bothered me.

2. For people in that time period would have more facial hair, in some cases full beards, unless they're adolescent. Romans are shown to clean shaven.

I'm also working on a biblical cartoon about the three wise men. So I know what is ahead of you.

Good luck with your efforts and don't forget to share the finished cartoon

Thanks for all your comments. Everything are constructive and it favors me somehow. Thanks. Do you have links to your work so that I can also have some ideas and references as I proceed with my works and project. I do not have any formal education in animation. I only depend from people like you who have prior knowledge in the field than I do. Any tips will help. Thanks gain.

Ah, well, enjoy Mr Snow's work.

I can criticize others, but I don't have much animation to show... yet... !
