Hi i need some help with making scene invisable.
How do i stop layers that i've used before from showing up again.

This is the Time Line:

0....1....2....3....4....5....6....7....8...9....10....11

and X is the Layer.

so i'm gonna add a layer on to one on the time line.

0....1....2....3....4....5....6....7....8...9....10....11

now my problem is that when i add another Layer on to the time line i can still see the last layer i just used when i render it.

I know how to make it invisable from the editing view. But i don't know how to stop it from showing again in the new layer i add to the time line.
How do you make the scenes invisable and tell anime studio what scene you want to be visable on the time line.
If some one can help me that will be great.

I've tryed reading the Turtorals about this and there not helping so please do not tell me to read the turtorals because i've tryed that and it hasn't helped that why i came here thats what the How Do I forums are for.
So if you could help me out that would be great.

Uhhh,...are you trying to do frame by frame animation with Anime Studio?! If so, no wonder the amount of layers is slowing down your system.

Anyway, if you double click on the layer you'll find a visibility check box.

I've seen that but that only makes it invisable in the eiditing view. How do i make it so it so anime studio knows when to make a scene visable and when not to make it visable on the time line?

Main reason why i have so meny layers is for the characters only time it doesn't slow down is when i use more than one switch layer.

Okay, you're going to need to post a file for me to look at, because unchecking the 'visible' check box doesn't effect the editing view. It only effects the render.
You're not mistaking that for the visible icon in the layers windows are you? "Double click" the layer to bring up the layer settings menu.

How do i post the file?

And i've double clicked it to bring it up.

in the genrel theres 2 boxes

which i see i know what hide from editing view does and i think i know what

don't render this layer does. what do i do from there?

You're in the right place. Just look down a little bit more and you'll see a section called 'compositing effects'. This is the 'visible' check box I've been talking about.
No offense, but I can see why people are pointing you to the tuttorials.

Try Box.net if you don't have you're own webserver or your own webspace with your ISP. Put the .anme file into a ZIP-archive to save bandwidth.

It's cool one thing you should know is that i have dyslexia so i'm trying as hard as i can to understand the tutorials and so far i feel like i've done quite well.

Actually, you can do that or you can just click on the visibility channel of the timeline where you want it to be invisible. Doing this will turn the timeline red after this keyframe, meaning that it is invisible from here on.
