Hi Folks,

I just completed a short film using Anime Studio Pro that I'd like to share.
The characters represent Scottish school pupils that I interviewed.
The film (commissioned by the local council) is intended to demonstrate the positive aspects of having bi-lingual pupils in a class.

I'm pretty pleased with the look of the work, and of course the kids are chuffed to see cartoon versions of themselves. The parts I'm happiest with begin about halfway through - hope you like the kids accents too :D

Press the Play button next to "Second Language"

The animation is pretty tame and I hope to introduce more physical movement (jumping and walking) in the next one.

Enjoying seeing everyones work and looking forward to playing with 5.6.

I actually learned something about the subject I didn't know before. I didn't know that bilingual students can help other bilinguals to understand something the teacher doesn't seem able to explain. I guess it has a lot to do with trust, learning that is (I didn't realize that).

So, I liked it, because I like to learn. I also liked your subdued animation style and the way you portrayed the student's mannerisms.

Cheers Rasheed,

It's good to hear that the kid's (and the clients) message has resonance beyond Scotland. Nika is a popoular, confident kid so her personality has had a lot to do with her being embraced by her new classmates.

I've been commissioned for a new film which will employ the same technique. This one will be about young people with Autism.
Hopefully an increase in budget will allow me to push my animation a bit harder.

take care,

Adam.

I think this would've been more effective with some live action footage mixed in, but overall I liked it.
