Problems with interpolation Switching Layers

Greetings,

I am trying to do a simple 45 degree headturn using Interpolation and switch layers.

All of the layers are interpolating correctly except for two. One of the layers (whisker layer) is very simple. The other has a few more points on it but both layers are modified layers of the original and have the same number of points.

I'm not really sure what is going on.

The file is here:

Thanks in advance.

What's going on is those layers DON'T have the same number of vertices.

For example, if you look at the "whiskers" layer (the top layer of the whiskers switch) you'll see that at the top of the frame there are two line segments (one containing three vertices, the other two) that are not present in the 45 degree whistker layer (you may need to zoom out to see them -- select the vertice select tool and they will appear).

If you delete these then the whiskers will then interpolate correctly (they are also present on the top nose layer as well)

You forgot to remove a few points at the top of the head:

Thanks everyone!

Is there a script which will count the number of points in a layer? A simple count will tell me where to look for changes.

Okay,

Now I am having problems with the whiskers layer.

The both layers are moving but not towards each other.

The file has been updated from the previous one.

Thanks again. This is my second week of Anime Studio and I am loving it (thanks to you guys).

Perhaps this is not clear..

You have a layer translation on one of your whisker layers. This is causing the up/down floating. Try resetting the layer translation and repositioning the whiskers using the translate points tool.

I feel dumb.

That works!

Thanks,

Hey it took me a while to find, but I've found that if there is some unexpected behaviour to just start checking all my tools with an eye on the tool options.
