I don't know what this has to do with Anime Studio.

I suspect he's talking about the characters that come with AS.
My guess is that you cannot. More importantly, I don't know why you would want to -- character design is about the easiest (and most fun) thing to do. My advice would be to "base" your characters on those provided if you like the ones that are there -- use them as a guide and you'll find you can have original designs (as well as learn a lot about how things are put together).

Oh, I see.
I would assume you could since they would be treated like any character you might buy from Content Paradise.

Well if you want to make anything of any quality you'll eventually need to develope those skills, or fork over the money for something like Poser.

Life is funny. Sometimes things we want to accomplish are hard work. If it was easy everyone would do it.

It's actually amazing to me how short the learning curve is for a program like AS. Even someone with very limited drawing skills (me!) can create characters that look like those you see on network shows with just a little practice and some dedication.
I can understand why someone needs to purchase 3D models -- while I spent decades learning 3D modeling was still not my forte. But 2D drawings? Come on, almost anyone can create someone that's worth looking at (heck, even something childish like South Park is visually interesting) in an animation.
I suspect you actually can create your own characters but, as you say, you haven't yet learned the skills to properly rig them. As Vern alludes to, this is something that will require time to master but it ain't rocket science. If you have problems in this regard ask them here and people will be glad to help you. Invest even just a few weeks and you can do almost anything worth doing in AS.
