Does anyone know or are experiencing a problem in papagayo everytime you reach the 4000 frame and beyond? Is there a patch or does anyone know how to fix it? :?:

Yep, I've had that problem. No way around it that I know of.

The one and only time it occurred I was trying to help someone out. As a rule you shouldn't be doing a scene that long (3000 frames is a VERY long scene, and one with dialog that long had better not be all one shot). This person had given me a scene longer than 4000 frames and, sure enough, it wouldn't work in PP.

Now, the workaround is fairly simple -- just break up that scene into shorter segments. Even if the scene HAD to be seamless (once again, not anything I'd recommend -- you won't EVER see anything in any movie, short, or video that is that long for one scene) you could split it in the middle and after rendering just combine it (even if you rendered to AVI, although I always render to BMP and use my movie editor to put together the animations).

Making smaller scenes has another huge advantage in PP -- it works much more responsive. Trying to work with long scenes in Papagayo is a real PITA.

COOL

Thanks for replying.... The segment is broken up in takes but i cut and pasted all the audio clips together and made into one file. It seems (to me) easier but what can you do except like you said earilier "by working around it". I guess i was just trying to get it all done with one swoop.

Its cool. Thanks again 8)
